Educational opportunities for Immigrants
“If your plan is for one year plant rice. If your plan is for ten years plant trees. If your plan is for one hundred years educate children.“ – Confucius / Zhuang Zhou
Integration is a collective task. Language skills and education are important for finding an apprenticeship or a job. These are ways that you can participate in German society.
Perhaps you’re wondering: how can I learn German? Where can I register my children for school? How do I find a job, or who can help me when I have problems?
We would like to answer your questions in the following pages. In the column on the right, you’ll find information about the following topics:
- Offers – for example information about language classes, school forms or support during an apprenticeship.
- Responsible Authorities / Providers – names and addresses of language schools, libraries, and other establishments as well as information about schools and kindergartens.
- Counseling – You’ll find here places that can help you in choosing a career; getting your diplomas and certificates recognized; or with any other problem you may have.
- Further Information – Information about life in Germany.
Should you have any questions or suggestions, we would appreciate your feedback.
This project is supported through funds provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
